Puppy Foundations

A foundational program for puppies and their people, focused on building the skills and understanding needed for a successful life together.

We'll cover foundational cues, puppy life skills, appropriate play, enrichment, body language, and the building blocks for becoming a confident, capable dog.

Everyday Manners

Building skills for everyday life

Everyday Manners focuses on practical behaviours that help dogs navigate the world with greater confidence and reliability.

Topics may include vehicle manners, calmly acknowledging other dogs on walks, place, chin, release cues, and other useful skills that can make everyday outings easier.

Happy Appointments

Making necessary care a little easier

Happy Appointments is designed to help dogs become more comfortable and cooperative during veterinary, grooming, and other handling experiences.

The goal isn't simply to teach dogs to tolerate care — it's to help them build positive associations and become active participants in their own care.

Expanding Beyond Dogs

A Future Goal for Sunny Side

Sunny Side is currently focused on building a strong foundation in dog training. As the business grows, I'd love to eventually expand into training and behaviour support for other companion animals.

Cat Training

Cat training is something I'm interested in exploring as part of Sunny Side's long-term growth. This could eventually include positive reinforcement training, cooperative care, enrichment, and helping cats and their people communicate more effectively.

There is currently no timeline for when cat training will be offered. This is an idea I'm beginning to explore and learn more about, with the goal of developing it thoughtfully rather than rushing the process.

Bird Training

I'm also interested in eventually offering training and behaviour support for companion birds.

This is still very early in the planning and education stage. Before offering bird training professionally, I want to take the time to build the appropriate knowledge, experience, and education to ensure I can provide the same thoughtful standard of care that Sunny Side strives for.
